Frequently asked questions
How is the Hepsiburada commission calculated?
Commission is charged on the VAT-inclusive sale price at the category rate: Commission = Sale price × Rate / 100. For a 200.00 item at 18% the commission is 36.00 and the payout after commission is 164.00.
Why do commission rates differ?
Rates depend on the product category; low-margin categories such as electronics carry lower rates, fashion and cosmetics usually higher ones. Hepsiburada may revise rates periodically; the rates in this tool are estimates, the exact rate is listed in the seller panel.
How do I find the net profit?
Net profit = Sale price − Commission − Shipping cost − Product cost. Profit margin is net profit divided by sale price. Add campaign participation fees, returns and packaging to cost if they apply.
Is commission charged on the VAT-inclusive price?
Yes, marketplace commission is calculated on the VAT-inclusive price the customer pays. Hepsiburada issues an invoice to the seller for the commission; the VAT on that invoice is generally deductible for the seller. Check with your accountant for your case.
How do I work backwards from a target payout to a price?
Sale price = Target payout / (1 − Rate / 100). For a 164.00 payout at 18% commission the price should be 164.00 / 0.8200000000000001 ≈ 200.00.
